AI consultant for Bristol businesses
AlphaOps builds AI automations for Bristol businesses: workflow automation, document processing and Monthly AI Support. We're based in Cardiff, about an hour up the M4, so most work is done remotely and we come to you when a job needs it.
Bristol has plenty of AI agencies. Here's what's different.
We're an IT security business first. AI automation is something we add carefully, not the only thing we sell.
AlphaOps is the AI-automation arm of Alphabyte IT, which has run Microsoft 365, security and support for professional firms since 2009. Our founder, Ross Owen, has worked in legal and professional services IT since 2000.
That shapes how we build. We tell you where your data goes before anything is built, we use business-grade AI under a data processing agreement, and we monitor and maintain what we deliver.
- Prices on the website: Monthly AI Support is £459 + VAT a month with four hours included
- Microsoft Partner and Cyber Essentials certified, through Alphabyte IT
- You don't need to switch IT provider to work with us
Remote first, in the room when it matters
Automation work happens inside your systems, so almost all of it can be done remotely: the audit call, the build, the testing and the support.
Some jobs go better face to face, such as mapping a process with the team who do it, or showing people a new automation for the first time. For those we come to your Bristol office and just charge travel expenses.

Document-heavy work, in a city full of it
Bristol has one of the biggest legal and professional services communities outside London, an engineering and aerospace supply chain to the north of the city, and a steady pipeline of construction and property work. All of it runs on documents, approvals and email.
Law firms
Client intake, ID and AML chasing, attendance notes and filing, built with confidentiality first.
Accountants
Chasing client records, keying in statements and receipts, and the extra quarterly work Making Tax Digital brings.
Engineering & manufacturing
Emailed orders into your system, quotes drafted, supplier invoices matched and quality paperwork compiled.
Construction & property
Meeting minutes, site reports, valuations and subcontractor paperwork. Our minutes automation is already running for a QS consultancy.
Professional services
Consultancies and agencies where good people lose hours to reports, onboarding and admin.
Any team with a shared inbox
Enquiries read, logged, assigned and answered in draft, so nothing sits unanswered.
Questions from Bristol businesses
Do you have an office in Bristol?
No. We're in Cardiff, about an hour away along the M4. Most of the work is remote, and when a job needs us on site in Bristol we come to you and just charge travel expenses.
Are your prices the same for Bristol businesses?
Yes. The audit is free, Monthly AI Support is £459 + VAT a month with four hours included on a 12-month minimum term, and extra hours are £145 + VAT. The only addition is travel expenses if we visit.
Do we need to use Alphabyte IT for our IT support?
No. AlphaOps works alongside whoever runs your IT today. Alphabyte IT is our sister company in South Wales, and it's there if you ever want it.
Is our data safe?
We build with Anthropic's Claude through its business service, which doesn't train on your data and is covered by a data processing agreement. We show you where your data goes before anything is built. In-house AI on our own hardware in Cardiff is coming soon for the most sensitive work.
