Business automation for Cardiff firms
We automate the repetitive work that eats your team’s week: shared inboxes, re-typing, chasing, reports and write-ups. We’re a Cardiff team, part of Alphabyte IT, and we build inside the systems you already use.
Work that moves on its own
Business process automation takes a job your team does the same way every time and has software do it instead, with a person checking anything unusual.
In most Cardiff businesses we visit, the same five jobs take the most time: reading and routing shared inbox emails, copying information from one system into another, chasing documents and approvals, building reports by hand, and writing up meetings and calls.
None of these need a big IT project. We build automations around the tools you already have, usually Microsoft 365, your accounts package and your line-of-business software, and prove them on your real work before they run on their own.
Cardiff people who already run IT
AlphaOps is the automation arm of Alphabyte IT, which has managed IT and Microsoft 365 for businesses across South Wales since 2009. That means:
- We understand how your systems fit together before we automate anything
- We tell you where your data goes, and we use business-grade AI only
- We can be in your office when the work needs it, and charge travel expenses only
- One fixed monthly fee keeps your automations working and up to date
Ross Owen, our founder, runs every free audit himself.

What it costs
The automation audit is free: up to two hours with Ross going through your systems, then a written report of where the savings are. After that you can have a single automation built for a fixed price, or join Monthly AI Support from £459 + VAT a month, which includes our standard automations, new AI tools as they arrive, and hours for work specific to you.
Is there funding in Wales?
Support for business digitalisation in Wales changes regularly, and most schemes are aimed at specific sectors or at training rather than building automations. Business Wales is the best place to check what’s open for your business now. If a scheme applies, we’ll help you with the details.
Business automation in Cardiff: questions
Do you only work with Cardiff businesses?
No. We’re based in Cardiff and work across South Wales and the rest of the UK. Most of the work is remote, and we come on site when it helps.
Do we need to change our IT provider?
No. We work alongside whoever looks after your IT. If that’s Alphabyte IT, it’s simpler still, because we already know your systems.
How long before we see results?
Most first automations are built and proven on your real work within a couple of weeks of the audit.
Is it AI, or just automation?
Both. Many automations are simple rules that move information from one place to another. AI comes in when something needs reading or writing, such as an email, an invoice or a set of minutes. We use whichever does the job reliably.
Need your IT looked after too?
Alphabyte IT, our sister company, has looked after IT, security and support for businesses across South Wales since 2009.
